Alex Davis, sales director of Equate Group, a national IT and cyber security specialist, has started a monumental challenge to compete a triathlon in all 78 UK cities in 2024. This groundbreaking feat is in support of charities; the National Paralympic Heritage Trust (NPHT), Auto Raise and Oxford Hospitals Charity. Alex started the challenge on the 15th April in Oxford at Leys Pools & Leisure Centre, Pegasus Road, Oxford, at 7.30am.

117km (72.7 Mile) swim. 3,120km (1938.6 Mile) bike. 780km (484.6 Mile) run.

Alex is not a professional triathlete but has always loved sport and trained hard. Each triathlon in this challenge will push Alex to his limits physically and mentally, with swimming, cycling, and running in succession.

Alex wants to raise as much as possible for these amazing charities and has set a target of £15,000.

Alex Davis, Sales Director of Equate Group Ltd:

I’m very lucky to have close ties to these three charities through family, friends and work. At their core, they are all passionate about people. Why 78 triathlons in nine months I say why not. Sport is a shared experience and I know it’s not going to be straightforward with the weather, health & logistics but I’m supported by an amazing family at home, colleagues at Equate Group, customers and my business networking groups around the UK who will be with me all the way. I’ll be sharing the challenge in person and online. The funds raised will be going to very worthy charities so please give generously.

Emma Carroll, Corporate Fundraiser at the National Paralympic Heritage Trust:

NPHT are thrilled to be one of Alex’s chosen charities for this epic challenge. His support will enable us to reach, educate and inspire many more people about disability, using our amazing Paralympic story. Good Luck Alex!
